A business must let South Carolina residents know when their personal information is breached.  When the breach affects more than 1,000 residents, the business must give the Department a copy of the notice sent to those residents.  Below is a list of notices received since 2015. 

NOTE: If a business does not know the number of residents affected by a breach, the "Affected SC Residents" field will be blank.  Also, if a business reports a breach affecting less than 1,000 residents, they can choose whether to give the Department a copy of the breach notice.  If not, the "Organization Name" will not link to the notice.
