Dollar Amount Adjustment

Pursuant to Section 37-1-109, designated dollar amounts in the Consumer Protection Code are subject to change on July 1 of every even-numbered year based on the changes in the Consumer Price Index for December of the preceding year. If the Index has increased at least 10%, the dollar amounts will be adjusted according to the statutory calculation. Otherwise, the dollar amounts will remain unchanged from the previous amount. The Administrator is required to announce these changes by publication in the State Register by April 30 of each even-numbered year. For more details, refer to Section 37-1-109 and review the notices previously published by the Administrator.
