Department of Consumer Affairs Launches Fresh New Website

Fri, 12/14/2018

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs (SCDCA) is proud to announce the launch of its new website at www.consumer.sc.gov. “A lot of thought went into how to organize the wealth of information we have available and reduce the number of clicks it takes to get users to where they need to be,”said Carri Grube Lybarker, SCDCA's Administrator. “The result is a clean, streamlined and modernized site offering easy navigation to the many tools available for our customers.”

The website offers a smoother, more intuitive user experience and features an improved navigation bar where all the site's content can be found. An additional drop-down menu on the home page called “How do I…”gives users the ability to get answers to frequently asked questions in just one click.  Recent news is more prominently displayed, and a new calendar shows SCDCA public meetings, upcoming public presentations and important dates for regulated businesses as well.

The site design enables users to access SCDCA's many resources, including our online complaint portal, licensing information, and informative brochures with more ease.  We encourage consumers and businesses to connect with us online and take advantage of this re-envisioned, valuable resource!

The SCDCA website was built at no cost to taxpayers through a partnership between the SCDCA and South Carolina Interactive, doing business as SC.gov.
